I bought this Egg Skelter to 'display'/'dispense' our eggs. The oldest one is at the bottom and you add newer ones (from the side) with the pointy end downwards and inwards. It comes in about half a dozen colours - mainly tasteful! I wanted this to shout "Fresh Eggs from the Rock Chicks" though, so it's as in-your-face as they come!

It's only when you have your own chickens that you appreciate the amount of effort that goes into producing those eggs, and you really don't take them for granted any more. I have had them hidden away in egg boxes in the kitchen. I shall now display them proudly in the Egg Skelter!

I like the 'egg skelter' and the display of eggs......those girls have been busy! Do the rest of the family get a share in the produce? surely there are too many for just you and the newly 60yr old!
by the way - where did you but the skelter?
Oh yes, we share them around Granny - in fact there's a queue! Some of these will go at the weekend - my sister, Himself's parents and of course the grandchildren! Even the neighbours have had one each but we'll need a glut before I'm feeling generous enough to give them some more.
I got it from www.eggskelter.co.uk
That's a very nice dozen eggs you have there!
Glad you got your egg-skelter; of course, you've completely rotted up the idea I had to buy you one as a present!
Well Bilbo, I usually assume that I have to buy my own presents! It's a Baker's Dozen too!
I want one! :-)

This is brilliant! I have put in an order for one this afternoon. Always a fiddle to keep track of which are the oldest eggs to use. I predict this company will do very well in such a growing market.
I should be on commission!
I most definitely want one of these egg skelters...but I don't think one would be enough, we get 5 eggs a day without fail. It sure would fill up quickly! :)
You need one each, Bobbie & Liz!
That's a very interesting gadget. Wish I still had hens but I like to travel too much and it is hard enought to find someone to water the plants let alone feed the hens and milk the goats.(Used to have goats too and would love to have them again.)
